The NRA broke a 15-year fundraising sage by taking in almost $2.5 million for its Political Victory Fund in the month of March on my own.

From March 1 through March 31 the fund raised $2.4 million, an lengthen of roughly $1.5 million over the volume the fund took in for the length of the equivalent time closing year.

The Miami Herald reviews that the $2.4 million soundless in March “is basically the most money raised by the NRA’s political arm in a single month since June 2003.”

Donations for the length of March 2018 eclipsed different high water marks for the Political Victory Fund. As an illustration, January and February 2013–the two month straight away following the Sandy Hook Well-known College attack–saw fundraising totals of $1.1 million and $1.5 million. The figure of $1.5 million used to be surpassed by almost 1000000 dollars closing month.

The $2.4 million consisted largely of donations totaling $200 or much less, that draw the series of donors used to be astronomical.

February items to the NRA’s political action committee supplied a precursor to the Political Victory Fund’s March windfall. Breitbart Records reported that donations to the NRA’s political action committee tripled in February, as celebrities, establishment media, and student activists blamed the NRA for the Parkland shooting.  The Washington Free Beacon notorious that the NRA PAC obtained $779,063 in donations in February versus $247,985 in January.
