Egyptian, Israeli companies imprint $15bn pure fuel deal

Israeli firm Delek Drilling has introduced it will present Egypt with $15bn rate of pure fuel within the largest export deal to this point for Israel’s pure fuel replace.

Egyptian firm Dolphinus will purchase 64 billion cubic metres of pure fuel from Delek Drilling and its US partner Honorable for the length of a ten-365 days duration, an announcement released on Monday said. 

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed the « historic » settlement. 

« This can raise billions into the country’s coffers, » he said in a assertion. 

Netanyahu said the deal would « beef up [Israel’s] security, our economic system, and likewise beef up our regional relationships ». 

Yossi Abu, CEO of Delek Drilling, said the settlement would « build Egypt’s space as a regional energy centre ». 

Pending pipelines

The companies fetch but to gain out what route the pure fuel from Israel’s Mediterranean Tamar and Leviathan fields will circulate to Egypt. Delek’s assertion said « varied prospects » exist, along side the usage of the EMG pipeline.

Running from al-Arish in North Sinai, Egypt to Ashkelon, Israel, the EMG pipeline formerly transported pure fuel from Egypt, which has its non-public reserves, to Israel below a 20-365 days contract signed in 2005.
