Egypt: Explosion rocks Alexandria’s Stanley neighbourhood

An explosion went off near a lodge in Egypt’s Alexandria metropolis, resident enjoy reported.

The blast took place near the Tolip Resort on Saturday afernoon in Rushdi, a neighbourhood in Egypt’s 2d metropolis.

One soldier used to be killed and several other others had been injured in the explosion which used to be the effects of a automobile bomb which centered the motorcade of the head of security in Alexandria, an Egyptian security offer informed Al Jazeera.

The Egyptian ministry of interior acknowledged that the attack used to be an assassination attempt against Alexandria’s head of security.
