He can not scramble away us – Gabi hopes for Griezmann preserve

Atletico Madrid captain Gabi hopes his team’s Europa League success convinces Antoine Griezmann to preserve on the LaLiga club.

Griezmann became the hero in Lyon on Wednesday, scoring a brace to manual Atletico to a Three-Zero resolve over Marseille in the last.

However the France global is linked with a switch to Barcelona in the close-season despite being diminished in size till 2022.

Gabi acknowledged the 27-year-damaged-down’s team-mates had already tried to convince Griezmann to preserve and he hopes the trophy helps.

« We already told him a few things… he can not scramble away us, » he told journalists.

« Let’s hope this day’s efficiency convinces him to preserve there. »

Requested if Griezmann – who refused to focus on his future after the resolve – became occupied along with his resolution, Gabi acknowledged: « Sure, of direction.

« Otherwise he would be in a single other team now. »

Griezmann has scored 29 dreams this season, with the Europa League crown his 2nd trophy at Atletico since getting back from Genuine Sociedad in 2014.
