Donald Glover dropped a brand unusual Infantile Gambino song and music video Saturday night.
While internet hosting and performing on Saturday Night time Live, the multi-hyphenate launched a brand unusual music video for a song known as “Right here’s The US,” which he also performed trusty by the 2nd 1/2 of the conceal. (He also debuted one other Off the Wall-esque song on SNL, too.)
In the Hiro Murai-directed music video, a digicam follows the shirtless Atlanta critical person/creator around a warehouse; on the opposite hand, it’s now no longer all fun and games. Sure, Glover dances with some faculty kids, but he also shoots somebody tied to a chair and mows down a gospel choir with a machine gun.
“Right here’s The US. Don’t steal you slippin’ now,” sings Glover.
Belief the crazy video above. The song is now available to movement on Spotify.
“This Is The US” is the main song Glover’s launched since his funky, Grammy-nominated 2016 album Awaken My Admire, and it’s a big departure from it, too. Whereas Awaken My Admire used to be heavily influenced by psychedelic funk and didn’t characteristic any rap, “This Is The US” feels admire a return to Glover’s rapping roots, on the opposite hand it’s also extra political than Glover’s past output.
Glover would possibly per chance per chance even be at this time be seen on FX’s Atlanta, which airs Thursdays at 10 p.m.
