Sri Lanka captain Thisara Perera received but one other toss, and elected to bowl within the 2nd T20I in opposition to India in Indore. Perera acknowledged he felt the brief boundaries at the Holkar Stadium would lend better to a rush.

Truly, Sri Lanka’s line-up itself perceived to be designed for a rush following a Ninety three-trot loss within the earlier game. They left out Vishwa Fernando and Dasun Shanaka – both seamers – to raise in batsman Sadeera Samarawickrama and allrounder Chaturanga de Silva.
